Dr Richard Doherty is a highly specialist Clinical Psychologist at UCLH in London. He has many years expereince treating anxety, work related stress, depression, sleep disorders and physical health conditions including chronic pain and migraine.


He was the Lead Psychologist for the migraine service at St Thomas' hospital, having previously run the complex sleep psychology service at Guy's Hospital, and, in his private work, he is the Clinical Director for Dr Richard Doherty and Associates.


In both his NHS and private work Richard is pioneering new treatments for work-life related stress, anxiety, migraine and sleep conditions.


Richard has 1st Class Hons Degree in Psychology from the University of London, a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, and a further Diploma in CBT Therapy, awarded with Distinction. He currently teaches  on the Oxford University Clinical Doctorate course on 'CBT and advanced interventions', and the Royal Holloway CBT course on ACT for physical conditions and sleep difficulties.


Richard is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a Practitioner Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, UK (HCPC). He is also a Chartered member of the Division of Clinical Psychology and the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) special interest group.
